For the lovely service on our recent loss of Alan.

I have arranged to have two urns with Alans’ ashes, one to take to jersey, and the other to scatter at sea when the rest of the family go to Anstruther in September.

Which I am sure John would have had a smile on his face listening to all that was said.

Now that things have settled down to a large degree, I am writing to express on behalf of myself and my sister, our thanks for your conducting the service for my late mother, Mrs Theresa A’Hara.

The Pre-service meeting with you was also very reassuring, and was particularily effective at putting my sisters mind at ease regarding the prospect of the ceremony, which was something she had not encountered. Your flexible attitude and composed manner assisted greatly.

I would like to offer a special thank you on behalf of my mum, and family, for the lovely service you gave for my dad, we take great comfort knowing that it is just how he would have wanted it to be. We are sorry that you did not come back to the British Legion as we would have liked to have thanked you in person.

A very big thank you once again, for helping us get through our sad loss.
